Children and young people

Sundays

We welcome children of all ages to our Sunday Services. There are creche facilities, including baby feeding and changing facilities, sofas and a play area. Children and young people of school age can take part in our Sunday School we call "Fusion".

Engaging and interactive activites include games, stories, role play, craft, discussion and prayer all aimed to help our young people learn about the Bible and build a relationship with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

On the First Sunday of the month we hold an All Age Service with lively worship and the Puppet Kru are regular visitors.

Monday morning - Good Seed

The Good Seed is a small, friendly group for parents, grandparents or carers of young children (babies to pre-schoolers) to meet. Everyone is welcome. We offer a separate area for babies – so the very youngest can play without being bombarded by excited toddlers. We have ride-ons and a variety of toys. We also offer a craft activity or play dough.

Everyone helps to clear away and we end the session with singing and celebrating any birthdays that week. Tea and coffee is available for adults – we’ll even bring it to you! The session is completely free and aims to be a chance for parents and carers to relax as much as the children. There is no need to book a place – everyone is welcome to just turn up.

Sometimes we have a slightly different format – in the summer we've done a ‘toddle’ for Barnardo’s children's charity and had a teddy bears’ picnic before breaking up for the summer. We have in the past done Children in Need activities in the Autumn and a Christmas party before we break up.

If you are free on Monday mornings and would like to join us, please come along. We meet at St Bart's Church from 10am-11.30am every week during term time. For more information follow this link to the Net Mums website where we have a listing.

For other activities in the Parish throughout the week please see the parish website.
